GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Looking to build off its road win at in-state rival Milwaukee last week, Green Bay will host Youngstown State and Cleveland State at the Resch Center this coming weekend. The two games will each feature a Star Wars-themed giveaway, with Saturday's game against the Vikings serving as the first-ever Hometown Hero game. All first responders - fire, police, medical or military - will receive FREE admission to Saturday's game.

STARTING OFF RIGHT
With Saturday's win over Milwaukee, head coach Linc Darner is now a perfect 4-0 in Horizon League openers. In total, the Phoenix has now won six-straight league openers, a stretch that began with a win at Milwaukee in the 2013-14 season. The six-straight wins in league openers is the longest active streak among all Horizon League teams. Additionally, GB will look to start 2-0 for the same amount of time, going 11-0 over its first two HL games dating back to the 13-14 year.

YSU AT HOME SUCCESS
Green Bay has dominated the all-time series against Youngstown State when playing at home, owning an impressive 20-2 record. YSU pulled the upset in 2017 though, winning 92-89 at the Resch Center. Under Darner, GB is averaging 93.7 PPG against YSU at home, including the 85-67 win at the Resch Center last weekend. 

SUPERSANDY
Sandy Cohen III has worn the cape for Green Bay this year, leading his team in just about every category, including points, free throws, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and minutes. Cohen is the only player in NCAA Division I to lead his team in each of those categories. Cohen has scored in double-figures in 13 of 14 games this year, including 20 or more in three of his last four. He's now recorded at least 3 blocks in three games this year and has at least three steals in six games. The Seymour native leads the HL in scoring with 28.0 PPG, hitting 3 3-pointers and making 11 free throws at Milwaukee. 

NCAA RANKINGS
GB ranks in the top 25 of the NCAA in four main statistical categories through 14 games played, while also leading the Horizon League in each category:
Total Steals (120): 19th
Turnover Margin (4.2-1): 26th
Steals per Game (8.6): 30th
Scoring Offense (84.8 PPG):18th

RETURN OF THE KAM
After scoring in double-figures in just one of his first 11 games, Kam Hankerson has now scored 11 or more points in three-straight games, including 14 points at Milwaukee to open HL play. Hankerson was named Preseason Second Team All-League, and has lived up to the billing over the last few weeks, averaging 14.3 PPG during that stretch. Hankerson also has four steals and has gone 7-for-9 at the free throw line over the last three.
