WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Playing its best golf in the second round of the 2019 Zach Johnson Invitational, the Green Bay men's golf team shot a 295 on the second 18 holes before finishing T7 in the 12 team field.
Ben Gilles led the way as an individual finishing T11 (+9) thanks to a second round 70. He was four shots off from a top 5 finish, with the individual champion finishing +2.
GB put itself in a hole in the first round with a 315, but rebounded nicely with a 295 in the second round. The 295 was the best score of any team in that round, before shooting a final round 299.
Zak Kulka (T19) also finished in the top 20, finishing +14 with a final round 73.
