YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women's soccer team secured a crucial three points in a 2-1 victory over Youngstown State on Saturday afternoon, moving to 7-6-1 on the season and 1-3-1 in conference play.

Jordyn Cook and Morgan Courier were the Phoenix goal scorers on the day, with assists coming from McKayla Kertscher, Caitlin Hawley and Alyssa Barnes.

GB found the back of the net in the 26th minute when Cook scored her third goal of the season after Kertscher and Hawley directed the ball to the charging forward. The Phoenix held the Penguins scoreless the remainder of the half to lead things 1-0 at the break.

Courier added an insurance goal in the 61st minute, her second of the season, after fellow senior Barnes moved the ball to Courier in spot she could beat the keeper.
