GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women's soccer team will play host to Oakland this Saturday in their second to last home game of the season. This matchup will be senior day for the Phoenix.

GB will honor its six seniors prior to kick-off on Saturday afternoon, with
Alyssa Barnes,
Payton Benzschawel,
Morgan Courier,
Courtney Klatt,
Kayla Minor and
Emma Sloot all being recognized at 1:40 p.m.

Most Recently for the Phoenix: Green Bay won its first Horizon League match of the season last Saturday against Youngstown State. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the visiting Phoenix with goals scored by
Jordyn Cook in the 26th minute and
Morgan Courier in the 61st minute. The Penguins added a late goal in the 84th minute but couldn't muster an equalizer as Green Bay moved to 7-6-1 on the season and 1-3-1 in conference play. The Phoenix outshot Youngstown State 10-9 in the pairing.

Scouting the Golden Grizzlies: Oakland leads the all-time series 4-3-1 and is currently 5-5-2 this year and 3-1-1 in conference play. They are currently on a two-game winning streak and are second in the Horizon League standings. Alexa Sabbagh (4) and Sami Lopez (3) lead the Golden Grizzlies in goals and the defense for Oakland has been one of the bright spots, as Jaimie Leas leads the charge in net with 29 saves and a 1.48 goals against average.
