Green Bay, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's soccer team will play its final home Horizon League contest this Saturday against the Detroit Mercy Titans. This Saturday's game will be Senior Day for the Phoenix.
Green Bay will honor its nine seniors prior to the game, with Andre Baires, Jack Bradford, Ian Smith, Robleh Omar, Brian Vang, Michael Carreon, Adam Mansa, Belal Khoulani and Karim Lauba all being recognized.

Most Recently for the Phoenix: It was a glimpse into the future for Green Bay in its last game against Northern Kentucky as a trio of underclassmen found the back of the net. The Phoenix fell behind 1-0 after a Northern Kentucky goal in the 11th minute, but then rattled off three goals in a row courtesy of Villi Kaldal, Clay Brown, and Marcus Del Vecchio. The Norse responded to Green Bay run with one of their own in the 65th minute but couldn't find an equalizer as the Phoenix traveled home with a crucial three points. With its current two game win streak, the Phoenix sits at fourth in the Horizon League standings.
Scouting the Titans: Detroit Mercy will come to Aldo Santaga Stadium with an overall record of 4-9-1 and 1-3-1 in league play. The Titans are currently tied for last in the Horizon League with Milwaukee and are on a two-game losing streak. This will be the 31st time that these two programs face each other and the record is almost as tight as it gets. Detroit Mercy leads the series 12-11-7 but Green Bay has had the edge in the last few years having not lost in the last five contests (three wins two draws). Kyle Bandyk is the best attacker for his Detroit Mercy side, with two goals and two assists on the season. Goalkeeper Devin Mendez has played every second of every game for the Titans and he has accumulated 53 saves and three shutouts.
