Box Score GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women's soccer team continued Horizon League play at home on Sunday afternoon, falling to Wright State 1-0.
Wright State scored what proved to be the eventual game-winning goal in the 63rd minute after Jordyne Helinski sent a header in high which was unable to be redirected by the Phoenix keeper.
Helinski was also responsible for Green Bay's 2-1 loss in overtime in Dayton, Ohio, last year, as the forward scored in the golden goal in the 96th minute to secure the Raiders' victory.
Green Bay had a number of chances on the afternoon, outshooting the Raiders 10-5 in the contest but was unable to convert on any of the attempts.
Sage Nelson led the Phoenix attack with five shots and placed two on goal. GB placed a total of four shots on the Raiders' net in the matchup.
Wright State improves to 3-1 in HL play, while Green Bay falls to 0-3-1.
Green Bay returns to the pitch next weekend on the road, as the team travels to Ohio for a matchup with Youngstown State.
