HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay volleyball team extended their winning streak to seven-straight by defeating Northern Kentucky on the road (25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 25-23).

The team looked solid on the road tonight and took away a crucial victory in the Horizon League. Junior
Taylor Wolf led the way for the Phoenix with an impressive stat line of 22 kills off 56 attacks, 9 digs, 4 total-blocks and 2 assist for the match. Junior
Ashley Sledge and sophomore
Shannon Coughlin reached double-digits in kills as well for Green Bay with 13 and 10. Senior setter
Maddie Yoss followed Wolf with a remarkable match herself with 52 assist, 9 digs, 5 kills and 2 total-blocks. Junior
Anna Eaton quietly did a little bit of everything as well for the Phoenix tonight with 7 kills on a .467 hitting percentage, 9 digs and 4 total-blocks.
Defensively, Green Bay logged 89 digs, 14 block-assist and 3 solo-blocks. All three defensively specialist stepped-up on the night by tallying double-digit digs. Freshman
Annelise Sparks led with 25, followed by senior
Emily Lautenschlager with 17. Freshman libero
Brenna Hesse had 15 digs and added an assist.
Set one (25-21) had the Phoenix take the lead on the road. Throughout the first, both teams went back-and-forth, with neither side led by more the four. Head coach
Abbey Sutherland called a critical timeout after the Norse scored twice in a row to tie things up at 19-19. The squad responded by claiming 6 of the final 8 points to end the set. Green Bay had a hitting percentage of .250 and only committed 1 attack-error compared to Northern Kentucky's 8.
Set two (25-19) was very similar to the first set and had the Phoenix take a 2-0 lead in the match. Beside the first point, Green Bay never trailed. The Norse went on a 4-0 run to close the gap at 16-15, when Coach Sutherland called another timely timeout for the Phoenix. The team then went on a 4-0 run of their own to extended the lead to 20-15. A 3-0 run by Green Bay closed out the set for the Phoenix, with kills from
Taylor Wolf and
Anna Eaton, along with an attack-error by Northern Kentucky.
Set three (23-25) saw the Norse hold on and take the third. Northern Kentucky opened up with a 1-5 lead and midway through were up 7-13 over Green Bay. Nonetheless, the Phoenix clawed their way back and closed the Norse lead to only 2 points multiples times throughout. The squad got as close as 23-24, but Northern Kentucky ultimately took the set.
Set four (25-23) saw Green Bay claim the match. Early on in the fourth, the Phoenix led 8-3 but only held a one point lead midway through 13-12. Northern Kentucky tied the match at 21-21, but
Taylor Wolf took home four of the final six points to leave Green Bay to the victory.
With the victory tonight, the Phoenix are now tied at the top of the Horizon League standings with Milwaukee.

Green Bay will be back in action tomorrow evening on the road at Wright State (November 2
