GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Colgate knocked down 19 3-pointers and Green Bay was unable to keep pace on Tuesday night in the Roman Legends Classic Subregional, falling 99-81 at the Kress Center playing on back to back days. The Phoenix (2-4) was led by
Amari Davis' team-high and career-high 19 points, earning All-Tournament Team honors in the process.
JayQuan McCloud was also named to the All-Tournament, scoring 14 points the day after netting 20.
Davis has now scored in double-figures in each of his first six games this year, with this performance being his best to date. He went 7-for-8 from the free throw line, with GB going 17-for-22 from the charity stripe.
The visiting Raiders (4-3), who was an NCAA Tournament team from a season ago, hit 13 3s in the first half and led 59-37, en route to shooting 58.7 percent for the game. Colgate finished 19-for-35 from long range.
PJ Pipes added 14 points for Green Bay, which never led in the game. The Phoenix did outscore Colgate 44-40 in the second half, and also recorded a 17-5 assist-to-turnover ratio.
