Green Bay Victorious in Clash with Vikings, 76-63

CLEVELAND, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Green Bay bounced back with a win over Cleveland State on Sunday afternoon at the Wolstein Center, taking down the Vikings, 76-63, to move to 16-8 overall and 11-3 in Horizon League play.

The Phoenix dominated the game early, amassing 21-point lead at the half as Green Bay headed to the locker room with a 46-25 advantage. Cleveland State lowered GB's advantage to as few as nine points in the third before Mackenzie Wolf buried a jumper to send the Phoenix into the fourth quarter with an 11-point lead.

Green Bay's lead was as low as seven points with 2:39 to play after CSU's Mariah Miller hit a free throw to make it a 68-61 game. GB quickly responded with five made free throws from Laken James to stave off the Vikings' attack, eventually sealing a 76-63 victory.

Green Bay returns home next week for a matchups with Oakland (Feb. 21) and Detroit Mercy (Feb. 23). Saturday's pairing with the Titans is Senior Day for the Phoenix, with Laken James, Carly Mohns and Jen Wellnitz set to be honored.
