YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Youngstown State shot over 65 percent in the first half and eventually handed Green Bay a 96-77 road defeat on Saturday night at the Beeghly Center, dropping the Phoenix's record back to .500 in Horizon League play at 6-6. GB (12-13, 6-6 HL) trailed by 18 at the half after the Penguins (10-16, 6-7 HL) scored 51 points, and could never get closer than 15 in the second half.
YSU scored 46 points in the paint and won its fourth-straight game in the process. GB had four players in double-figures, led by
Sandy Cohen III and
ShanQuan Hemphill with 14 points each.
GB will return home to the Resch Center for four out of its last six games of the regular season, starting with Oakland on Thursday (Feb. 14) for Bud Light Night.
