GREEN BAY (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Green Bay forced visiting Oakland into a season-high 27 turnovers on Thursday night, using its defense to secure the 66-54 victory at the Resch Center. Both teams shot under 35 percent from the field and under 25 percent from 3-point range, but GB (13-13, 7-6 HL) used a double-double from
ShanQuan Hemphill to earn its sixth home win in seven tries at home this season.
With the win, the Phoenix moves into fourth place in the updated Horizon League standings with five games left in the regular season. GB will host Detroit Mercy on Saturday at 12 p.m. for Scout Day, looking to stay in the ever-important top four of the league standings.
