QUICK HITS
POSTSEASON PARTY
Green Bay will be making its sixth postseason appearance in the last seven seasons (3rd in 4 seasons under Darner) after accepting an invite to the 2019 CIT. GB has now played in the NCAA, CBI and CIT under Darner and will be making its second appearance all-time in the CIT. The Phoenix took part in the CIT after the 2012-13 season, when it finished 18-16, before losing to Bradley in the First Round. GB joins IUPUI as the two teams from the Horizon League to be playing in the CIT, with four teams total from the HL making postseason play this year (NKU in the NCAA; Wright State in the NIT).

TEAMING UP FOR THE RECORD BOOK
Linc Darner's 2018-19 team will have its name among many of the top 5 single season team record categories, including points scored, points per game, field goals made, field goals attempted, steals and made 3-pointers. In his fourth season at the helm, Darner now has four of the top five single season team scoring totals. He also has three of the top five in total steals. Check out where this year's team ranks in those categories:
Total Points: 2,653; 2nd most all-time
Total Steals: 259; 2nd most all-time
Field Goal Attempts: 2,084; 2nd most all-time
Points Per Game: 80.4; 4th most all-time
Field Goals Made: 944; 3rd most all-time
3-Pointers Made: 257; 3rd most all-time

BACK AT THE BUCS
Green Bay faced ETSU for the first and only all-time meeting back on Nov. 17, 2015, falling in a high-scoring 103-90 affair in Johnson City. The game was part of ESPN's 24-hour tip-off marathon and was played at 6 a.m. local time. Kenneth Lowe poured in a career-high 23 points in that game, with GB jumping out to a 15-4 early lead before ETSU responded with a 31-11 run. The Bucs are the only SoCon team GB has played in the four seasons under Linc Darner and is just the second team out of the SoCon GB has faced since 2009.

SUPER SANDY
Senior Sandy Cohen III has been the catalyst to the success of Green Bay this season, averaging 17.2 PPG and earning First Team All-Horizon League honors for his efforts. Cohen has been playing his best basketball of late, having now scored 20 or more points in five out of his last seven games, including a team-high 21 points against UIC in the Quarterfinals. The Seymour native has scored in double-figures in 29 of his 33 games played this season, with 11 games of 20 points or more. He leads his team in every major statistical category: scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, blocks and minutes.

DARNER DANDY
Head coach Linc Darner is a proven winner in conference tournament play, and has won eight conference tournament titles all-time, including the 2015-16 Motor City Madness title. Darner won six conference tournaments at Florida Southern and won the 2006 GLVC Tournament at Saint Joseph's, before winning four games in four days to win the 2016 Horizon League Tournament in his first season at the helm. All told, Darner owns a staggering 29-9 (.784) all-time record in conference tournaments following his win over UIC in the Quarterfinals and the defeat to Wright State. He's only gone one and done in two of his 17 seasons as a head coach, his first at Saint Joe's and his second at GB. Darner also has more wins in Motor City Madness than any other current head coach in the league, having now won six league games.

McCLOUD NINE
A potential Horizon All-League snub, JayQuan McCloud had an outstanding junior and first season with GB. McCloud is averaging 13.6 PPG this year and has scored double-figures in 21 of 33 games this year, including eight games with 20 points or more. He scored 19 points in the Quarterfinal victory over UIC and ranks 15th in the Horizon League scoring. He leads the team in made 3-pointers with 65 on the season.

RINGING THE BELL
Sophomore Trevian Bell stepped up in a big win in the Quarterfinal victory over UIC, scoring a career-high 15 points thanks to three made 3-pointers. Bell was the player UIC dared to shoot and beat them, and the Joliet, Ill., native did just that. Bell played a season-high 24 minutes and went 5-for-7 from the field, netting just his fifth double-figure scoring game of the year. He might be the player that Darner needs to step up and surprise, helping the consistent efforts of Cohen, McCloud and Hemphill.

FILL OF HEMPHILL
ShanQuan Hemphill, who goes by Tank, has been one of the most consistent players for the Phoenix lately, scoring 12 points in the Quarterfinal win over UIC. That gave Hemphill 10-straight games with double-figures and 24 games this season, who ranks third on the team in scoring with 11.6 PPG. Tank is the only player on the roster to start in all 33 games this year and enjoyed a stretch in February where he racked up three-straight double-doubles.
