QUICK HITS
THE FOURTH IS WITH US
The No. 4 seed has been both kind to Green Bay and Motor City Madness as a whole, boasting a 9-1 record since the tournament's first year in Detroit in 2015-16. GB ran the table with a perfect 4-0 record in that first season, and Northern Kentucky followed suit the next year by going a perfect 3-0 to lift the trophy. Add in a win by Oakland the next season, and GB's win over UIC in the Quarterfinals, and the No. 4 seed owns a .900 winning percentage in MCM. The No. 1 seed was 0-3 in the tournament before Wright State's win this season in the Quarterfinals, but the top seed is still searching for its first win in the Motor City.

TEAMING UP FOR THE RECORD BOOK
Linc Darner's 2018-19 team will have its name among many of the top 5 single season team record categories, including points scored, points per game, field goals made, field goals attempted, steals and made 3-pointers. In his fourth season at the helm, Darner now has four of the top five single season team scoring totals. He also has three of the top five in total steals. Check out where this year's team ranks in those categories:
Total Points: 2,599; 2nd most all-time
Total Steals: 255; 2nd most all-time
Field Goal Attempts: 2,032; 3rd most all-time
Points Per Game: 81.2; 4th most all-time
Field Goals Made: 923; 4th most all-time
3-Pointers Made: 250; 4th most all-time

RAIDER RIVALRY
Green Bay will meet a familiar foe in the semifinals, facing the Raiders of Wright State for the third time in the four seasons of Motor City Madness. And following their matchup on Monday night, the two teams will have faced in every round. GB downed Wright State 78-69 in 2016 tournament championship game, and Wright State bested GB in the Quarterfinals of last year's tournament 87-72. Now the two teams will meet in the semifinals, after splitting both meetings during the regular season. WSU has gotten the best of GB of late though, winning five of the last six games in the all-time series. GB leads all-time though, by a narrow 32-30 margin.

SUPER SANDY
Senior Sandy Cohen III has been the catalyst to the success of Green Bay this season, averaging 18.2 PPG in HL play and earning First Team All-Horizon League honors for his efforts. Cohen has been playing his best basketball of late, having now scored 20 or more points in five out of his last six games, including a team-high 21 points against UIC in the Quarterfinals. The Seymour native has scored in double-figures in 28 of his 32 games played this season, with 11 games of 20 points or more. He leads his team in every major statistical category: scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, blocks and minutes.

DARNER DANDY
Head coach Linc Darner is a proven winner in conference tournament play, and has won eight conference tournament titles all-time, including the 2015-16 Motor City Madness title. Darner won six conference tournaments at Florida Southern and won the 2006 GLVC Tournament at Saint Joseph's, before winning four games in four days to win the 2016 Horizon League Tournament in his first season at the helm. All told, Darner owns a staggering 29-8 (.784) all-time record in conference tournaments following his win over UIC in the Quarterfinals. He's only gone one and done in two of his 17 seasons as a head coach, his first at Saint Joe's and his second at GB. Darner also has more wins in Motor City Madness than any other current head coach in the league, having now won six league games.

McCLOUD NINE
A potential Horizon All-League snub, JayQuan McCloud had an outstanding junior and first season with GB. McCloud is averaging 13.8 PPG this year and has scored double-figures in 21 of 32 games this year, including eight games with 20 points or more. He scored 19 points in the Quarterfinal victory over UIC and ranks 15th in the Horizon League scoring. He's made seven 3-pointers over his last two games and is averaging 19.5 PPG with four assists per game.

RINGING THE BELL
Sophomore Trevian Bell stepped up in a big win in the Quarterfinal victory over UIC, scoring a career-high 15 points thanks to three made 3-pointers. Bell was the player UIC dared to shoot and beat them, and the Joliet, Ill., native did just that. Bell played a season-high 24 minutes and went 5-for-7 from the field, netting just his fifth double-figure scoring game of the year. He might be the player that Darner needs to step up and surprise, helping the consistent efforts of Cohen, McCloud and Hemphill.

FILL OF HEMPHILL
ShanQuan Hemphill, who goes by Tank, has been one of the most consistent players for the Phoenix lately, scoring 12 points in the win over UIC. That gives Hemphill 10-straight games with double-figures and 24 games this season, who ranks third on the team in scoring with 11.7 PPG. Tank is the only player on the roster to start in all 32 games this year and enjoyed a stretch in February where he racked up three-straight double-doubles.
