GREEN BAY (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay suffered its third defeat in two day at the hands of league-leading UIC on Wednesday afternoon, as the Flames secured a series sweep with an 8-0 victory over the Phoenix at Flames Field.

Both teams were kept off the board through the first two innings, with the game's first runs being scored in the third frame by the host Flames.

UIC didn't stop there, scoring six runs in the fourth inning to construct an 8-0 lead over the Phoenix with the run-rule being enforced in the fifth.

Green Bay was unable to score any runs in the finale with the Flames, with only a single hit being tallied by the team.

It's a quick turnaround for the Phoenix before the next series, as Green Bay travels to Rochester, Mich., for a three-game series with Oakland commencing on Friday.
