GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's tennis team (5-11, 1-2 HL) celebrated Senior Day in style, taking down the Wright State Raiders (7-16, 0-4 HL) 6-1 for their first Horizon League win of the season. Each senior that played this afternoon came away with a win:
James Ling at no.1 singles,
Charlie Croxford at no. 3 doubles,
Miles McDowall at no. 3 singles, and
Tony Leto at no. 2 doubles.
"We put together both areas of the game well today," said head coach
Brian Nelson. "It was great to see the men win five of the six singles in straight sets. It should give us good momentum going into tomorrow versus Northern Kentucky."
The Phoenix will play another conference match tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., hosting the Norse at the Western Racquet and Fitness Club.
