GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay men's soccer team completed its exhibition slate on Sunday evening with a 3-1 win over Cardinal Stritch.
Goal scorers on the evening for the Phoenix included
Karim Lauba,
Fredi Ortega and Aiden Bates, with Ortega and
Bernard Assibey Rhule collecting assists.
GB displayed much of its depth in the final exhibition, with newcomers taking the field for a majority of the match and impressing across the pitch.
The Phoenix heads into the regular season after compiling a strong preseason, with a win over Northwestern included in its 2-0 exhibition record.
Green Bay opens the regular season on Friday, Aug. 30 at home, welcoming Valparaiso for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
