GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay men's soccer team will face IUPUI this weekend in what will be the team's third Horizon League game of the season.
Â
Game information: Saturday at IUPUI – 12 p.m.
Â
Most recently for the Phoenix: Green Bay dropped its matchup with Oakland in a score of 3-0 at Aldo Santaga Stadium last Saturday. The game was deadlocked at 0-0 for the first 29 minutes but Oakland strung together three goals in seven minutes to put the game out of reach for the Phoenix, as they were never able to get past the stingy defense of Oakland. Green Bay attempted all seven shots in half number two but the possession and poise of the Golden Grizzlies made it difficult for the Phoenix to make a comeback.
Â
Scouting the Jaguars: IUPUI is currently 2-3-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference. These two programs have met eight times with the series being tied at 3-3-2. Green Bay has only lost once in the last five meetings between these teams and looks to continue this trend this weekend. Yan Souza is the leading scorer for IUPUI with three goals on the season with Alan Aguilar close behind with two. Quinn McAllion is the primary goalkeeper for the Jaguars, who has an impressive goal-against average of 0.96 on the season.
