CHICAGO, Ill. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) —The Green Bay softball team concluded action in the Rambler Rumble on Sunday afternoon with Evansville, falling to the Purple Aces 10-4.
 Green Bay scored the first four runs of the game, with Bailey Schultz getting the scoring barrage started in the opening frame after crossing home after a wild pitch.
Sam Soley singled later in the inning which brought home Rebecca Radtke and Morgan Bihun to put the Phoenix on top, 3-0.
Green Bay added its fourth run in the second inning when Kalyssa Koehn knocked Tiffany Giese in with a single.
Evansville cut GB's advantage in half in the bottom of the frame.
The Purple aces didn't wait long to tie things up, bringing in a pair of runs on a single from UE's Hood.
Evansville erupted in the fourth inning for six runs, leading to a 10-4 advantage with only three innings to play.
Green Bay was unable to get its offense firing through the final innings of the tournament, as Evansville held on for a 10-4 victory.
The Phoenix will be back on the diamond Thursday for a doubleheader at UT-Martin.
