Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, Tennessee – Green Bay's first action in the Bruin Challenge came in a doubleheader against Marist on Saturday, with the Phoenix earning a split on the afternoon. The Phoenix picked up a victory in a pitchers' duel, 1-0, in their first game before falling 7-0 to end the day.

Tiffany Giese brought home
Samantha Soley.
GB's defense shined in the matchup, highlighted by getting out of bases-loaded jams in the third and fourth innings.
Kayla Schwebke went the distance and tallied five strikeouts. She allowed only three hits in her shutout victory.
Marist 7, Green Bay 0
Marist struck early with three runs in the first. The Red Foxes added single runs in the second and third, and two more in the fourth.
Greta Thompson spent 6.2 innings in the circle for Green Bay and recorded four strikeouts.
Green Bay concludes action in the Bruin Challenge tomorrow with one game at 9 a.m. against Western Michigan.
