GREEN BAY -- Green Bay's first home game of the 2020-21 season is officially set. The Phoenix will take on Montana State on Saturday, November 14, just days after the team opens the regular season at Oklahoma State. The matchup is scheduled to take place at the Resch Center with the tip time to be announced at a later date. This marks the end of the home/home agreement between GB and Montana State which began last year in Bozeman. GB was dominating in that 98-72 win behind Amari Davis' career-high 28 points, and is 3-0 all-time against the Bobcats

This will mark the first time GB has played its home-opener against a Division I opponent since the 2012-13 season when it hosted Chicago State. The 2020-21 season schedule offers plenty of intriguing matchups, and will include all Division I opponents for the first time since 2007-08. GB will host 10 Horizon League opponents, Montana State, Northern Illinois, Eastern Illinois and Mercer as part of the Gotham Classic.

Those game dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

ABOUT MONTANA STATE
The end to the 2019-20 basketball season resulted in MSU completing its schedule with a 16-15 overall record. The winning record was the first for the program since the 2009-10 season when the Bobcats finished 15-14 overall. MSU's spot in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament was just its third in the previous 15 seasons, before the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.
 
MSU's 16 overall wins tied for the most for the program since the 2001-02 slate which saw the Bobcats win the Big Sky Conference's regular season championship by going 20-10 overall and 12-2 in the Big Sky. The Bobcats also had 16 wins in 2016-17. This season's overall winning record was their third since MSU's last regular season title, which includes 2009-10 and the 2003-04 squad that finished 14-13. 
 
MSU had one of its best win outputs under a first-year coach in nearly half a century. Led by Danny Sprinkle in his debut season, the 16 victories were the most for a first-year MSU coach since Hank Anderson guided the 1972-73 team to a 17-9 mark. 

The Bobcats are set to add six newcomers as of April 30, 2020, including freshman and graduate transfers to make an immediate impact. For more on Montana State, click here.
