ROCHESTER, MI --The Green Bay volleyball team lost to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies in five sets (14-25, 29-27, 25-14, 14-25, 5-15) Sunday on the road at Athletics Center O'Rena .
The loss dropped Green Bay's record to 8-11 overall and 3-4 in Horizon play.
The Phoenix was led by a double-double from Alexandra Zakutney, who registered 15 kills and 13 digs on the day. Tiffany Paalman also added 14 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Abby Gardner chipped in for GB with 15 digs to go with two blocks from Paalman.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Phoenix fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-14. Green Bay trailed by as many as 11 points as Oakland grabbed the advantage for good at 6-5 in a set that was notted up four times before the Golden Grizzlies took control.
SET 2 | Green Bay responded to pick up a 29-27 victory in the second set, evening the match at one set apiece. The Phoenix grabbed the set powered by a solid performance on the attacking side. Green Bay registered a .315 attack percentage with 25 kills in the set win. The Phoenix rallied from down five at 9-4 to claim the win.
SET 3 | Green Bay built on that second-set success with a victory in set number three to open up a lead at two sets to one. The Phoenix scored first and never trailed in the set to secure a 25-14 victory. Green Bay opened up as much as an 11 point lead at 23-12 before finishing off the set. The Green Bay offense also got a boost from five aces in the stanza.
SET 4 | Green Bay couldn't keep the win streak alive, as the Golden Grizzlies forced a fifth set with a 25-14 fourth-set win. The Phoenix trailed by as many as 11 points as Oakland grabbed the advantage for good at 5-4 and Green Bay wasn't able to recover in a set that was knotted up four times before the Golden Grizzlies took over.
SET 5 | Green Bay opened a lead of two sets to one before dropping the final two sets, including a 15-5 loss in the fifth set. The Phoenix lost the first point and never took the lead.
