GREEN BAY, WI --The Green Bay volleyball team racked up 50 kills en route to a 3-0 win (25-21, 27-25, 25-19) against the Robert Morris Colonials Friday at home at Kress Events Center.
The win improved the Phoenix's record to 10-11 overall and 5-4 in Horizon action.
The Phoenix were led by a double-double from Iro Chounta, who registered 11 kills and 12 digs on the day. Alexandra Zakutney also added 14 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Calli Gentry chipped in for GB with 14 digs to go with two blocks from Chounta.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Phoenix won the first point and never looked back to secure the first set 25-21. Green Bay led by as many as seven points at 19-12 before finishing off the set.
SET 2 | After their win in the first set, Green Bay put themselves on the cusp of a sweep with a 27-25 victory in set number two. The Phoenix persevered in a back-and-forth set to win in a stanza that featured five lead changes and was tied 18 times. Neither team led by more than three points along the way. The Phoenix racked up 18 kills over the course of the set.
SET 3 | Green Bay then finished off the match with a victory in set number three. The Phoenix scored first and never trailed in the set to earn a 25-19 victory. Green Bay ended on a high note, claiming its biggest lead, six points, to close out the set, collecting 18 kills along the way.
