GREEN BAY, Wis. – For the first time in over 600 days, the Green Bay women's basketball team will host fans inside the Kress Events Center for an exhibition game against Division III UW-Whitewater tomorrow night.
Tomorrow night's game is one of the Phoenix's two exhibitions before the regular season gets started at South Dakota State on November 9. Green Bay's second exhibition will take place Wednesday, November 3 when they host UW-Platteville.

PRESEASON EXPECTATIONS
Last week the Horizon League announced its preseason coaches poll, with the Phoenix predicted to finish third. Green Bay received 120 poll points from the league's coaches, finishing right behind IUPUI (139) and Milwaukee (125).
GB is coming off a 15-7 season where they finished third in the Horizon League with a 14-4 record. The team returns five of its top seven minute-getters from the 2020-21 season, including preseason All-League Second Team selection
Meghan Pingel. Pingel has long been a focal point of the team's defense, starting in all 22 games last season, and swiping a team-high 42 steals. On the offensive end, she averaged 5.2 points per game, 4.9 assists per game, and 2.8 rebounds per game.
ABOUT UW-WHITEWATER
The Warhawks have high expectations entering their season, coming in at No. 18 in the preseason Division III rankings. Whitewater returns most of their WIAC regular-season championship squad from the 2019-20 season that finished 23-4.
