INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following a standout performance in a 63-53 win over the Wisconsin Badgers yesterday, Green Bay women's basketball freshman
Maddy Schreiber was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week. It is the second week in a row the team has received the award after
Bailey Butler won it a week ago.

Schreiber was everywhere for the Phoenix in its win over in-state rival Wisconsin on Sunday. She scored eight points and pulled down nine rebounds, a game-high. She also dished out three assists in the contest. The Appleton, Wis. native shot 3-for-7 from the floor and 2-for-3 from three-point range against the Badgers.
Despite coming off the bench, Schreiber leads the team in multiple categories. On the team, she ranks:
- 1st in rebounds (4.9 RPG)
- 1st in FG% (48.2%)
- 1st in 3FG% (45.0%)
- 2nd in scoring (8.2 PPG)
- 3rd in minutes (25.3 MPG)
UP NEXT
GB will come home to host Chicago State on Thursday, Dec. 16 at the Kress Center, tip is slated for 7 p.m. Following, the Phoenix will host Central Michigan on Monday, Dec. 20.
