GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) —- Green Bay claimed the opening set on Monday afternoon at the Kress Center, but Northern Kentucky responded by taking the next three to claim the match, 3-1.

The Norse improved to 3-2 on the season, while GB dips to 2-5 with the result.

Northern Kentucky finished with 58 total kills and hit .290 in the match. Green Bay cooled off following the opening set and finished the match hitting .195 with 37 kills.

Alexandra Zakutney finished with a game-high 15 kills and  seven blocks. Zoi Sherolli led the Phoenix defense with 13 kills while Annelise Sparks followed closely behind with 11.

NKU's enjoyed four players on the afternoon with double-digit kills.

Green Bay closes out season series with Northern Kentucky tomorrow at 1 p.m.
