FORT WAYNE, Ind. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay men's soccer team took the field at Indiana Tech on Sunday afternoon against Purdue Fort Wayne, with the Mastodons securing a 2-0 victory to hand the Phoenix its first loss.
PFW's Mathias Mikalsen scored in the 41st minutes to put the host in front just before the opening half came to a close. Early in the second half, the Mastodons found mesh once again after Luke Benford beat the keeper in the 49th minute. Emil Fosse and Mathias Mikalsen assisted on the score.
Green Bay owned an advantage in shots at 12-10, with both team placing four shots on goal.
Green Bay is back in action at home next weekend, welcoming UIC to Aldo Santaga Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
