CLEVELAND, Ohio --- Green Bay jumped out to an early 2-0 lead over Cleveland State, but the Vikings rallied with a four-goal second half to defeat the Phoenix 4-2 and claim three points.
Savanna Hayes scored her second goal of the season in the 13th minute after a perfectly placed corner kick from
Emily Murphy found its way to her head and into the net.
After assisting on the first strike,
Emily Murphy found mesh herself in the 49th minute on a shot from the left side of the box around 18 yards out.
Three goals in the span of 10 minutes for Cleveland State turned the tides in the match, as the host took its first advantage of the game in the 60th minute at 3-2.
The Vikings added an insurance goal in the 78th minute which helped secure the 4-2 victory.
Green Bay readies for its final home match of the season next week, welcoming in-state rival Milwaukee to Aldo Santaga Stadium for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
