GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women's soccer team took the field at Aldo Santaga Stadium for the final time in 2020-21, falling to Milwaukee 6-0. The Phoenix honored its quartet of seniors prior to the match, with
Dorene Sanchez,
Caitlin Hawley,
Emily Woods and
Audrey Wilson all receiving recognition.
Green Bay falls to 1-4 on the year, while the Panthers improve to 6-1 following the result.
Dorene Sanchez / Senior / Defender
A native of Weston, Wisconsin,
Dorene Sanchez joined the Phoenix roster in 2017 and made an immediate impact. She participated in 45 games and made 40 starts as a member of the Green Bay defense. She is an education major who will be student teaching this fall. Head coach
Jason Spain was very pleased to coach Dorene, stating she is selfless player who plays at max effort 100% of the time.

Emily Woods / Senior / Defender
Hailing from Mount Vernon, Washington,
Emily Woods first joined head coach
Jason Spain at Minot State in 2017 before coming to Green Bay in 2019. She has made 44 appearances in her career and graced the starting lineup 10 times. Coach Spain says she is one of the best players he has seen in aerial challenges in his 24 years of coaching. She also possesses strong leadership qualities and will be joining the Phoenix staff next fall.

Audrey Wilson / Senior / Defender
Coming to the midwest from Elk Grove, California, Audrey also followed Coach Spain from Minot State and has been a four-year starter, appearing in 39 games while scoring one goal and tallying five assists. She earned the responsibility of the primary freekick taker in her freshman year! Coach Spain says "The professor will be missed!"Â Audrey is pre-med and will be heading to chapel hill in the fall.

Caitlin Hawley / Senior / Forward
A native of Oshkosh, Wisconsin,
Caitlin Hawley transferred to Green Bay when Coach Spain arrived in 2019. Hawley has appeared in 22 games in her two seasons with the Phoenix and has led the team in goals both years. Coach Spain has highlighted her never-ending engine and fearless play in front of the goal. Caitlin will be graduating this spring.
Milwaukee found the back of the net three times each half to secure the win.
Green Bay closes out its season on Monday, April 5 at UIC.
