Green Bay jumped out to an early 2-0 lead over Cleveland State, but the Vikings rallied with a four-goal second half to defeat the Phoenix 4-2 and claim three points.
Savanna Hayes scored her second goal of the season in the 13th minute after a perfectly placed corner kick from
Emily Murphy found its way to her head and into the net. After assisting on the first strike,
Emily Murphy found mesh herself in the 49th minute on a shot from the left side of the box around 18 yards out. Three goals in the span of 10 minutes for Cleveland State turned the tides in the match, as the host took its first advantage of the game in the 60th minute at 3-2.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
The Panthers enter Tuesday's matchup after a week off due to a COVID protocol cancellation. MKE is the five-time defending Horizon League champion and had its conference record 36-game unbeaten streak (33-0-3) in regular-season league play snapped earlier this spring, a streak which was the second-longest such streak in the country. Milwaukee is owns a 28-7-2 advantage in the all-time in the series.
