GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Green Bay took the diamond for games five and six of its young season on Saturday in Chattanooga, with Phoenix falling to Butler, 3-0, and taking down the Mocs, 5-2, to round out the first day of play.

Gabby Paliska was in the circle for the Phoenix in its battle with Butler to open the day, allowing the Bulldogs only six hits and picking up six strikeouts.
Butler scored one run in each of the first, fifth and seventh innings to help secure the win.
Green Bay received hits from
Jadin Justman and
Bailey Schultz.
GREEN BAY 5, CHATTANOOGA 2
The Green Bay offense erupted for five runs in the second inning to take control of things early against host Chattanooga.Â
A sacrifice-fly from
Crystal Guzman followed by a trio of singles from
Gracie Peterson, Schultz and
Becca Edwards knocked the Phoenix runs in and provided the five-run advantage.
The Phoenix defense continued to shine as the Mocs were held scoreless through the first five innings. Chattanooga managed to plate two in the sixth, but was never able to pull even with Green Bay. The Phoenix notched its third win of the season in the matchup, improving to 3-3 on the year.
Kayla Schwebke spent all 7.0 innings in the circle for the Phoenix, securing the win while allowing only five hits and picking up five strikeouts.
