SPRINGBORO, OHIO (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay men's golf team took to the links in Springboro, Ohio, at Heatherwoode Golf Course on Sunday and Monday to compete in the Wright State Invitational. The Phoenix men were led by Max Pasher and Austin Schnell, who finished in a tie for 12th overall at nine-over (222) through the three rounds. The team finished in a tie for seventh overall with Marshall at 906, besting five teams from the Horizon League.
 
The duo of Pasher and Schnell each shot rounds of 73, 74 and 75 through the two days of competition, with Schnell's best performance coming in round two and Pasher's in round three. Schnell led the team with 11 birdies while Pasher turned in a team-best 31 pars.

Zak Kulka excelled on the Par 5s, finishing at two-under through all rounds and was able to break into the top 50 in the 17-team field after shooting 230 (75, 73, 82) in the invitational. 

Green Bay turned in an impressive 36 birdies as a team, ranking behind only Wright State (40) and Northern Kentucky (39).

The next action for the Phoenix will come in the form of the Horizon League Tournament Championships beginning Sunday, April 25 at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West LaFayette, Ind.
