GAME 1 | IUPUI 3, Green Bay 2
GREEN BAY, Wis. --Junior Kayla Schwebke gave up only three, but the Green Bay Phoenix was unable to take an advantage, losing to the IUPUI Jaguars by the score of 3-2 on to open the series.
Schwebke (10-8) started and took the loss in the circle for Green Bay. The right-hander went seven innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on seven hits, allowing one walk and striking out six.
In the batter's box, the Phoenix were paced by freshman Samantha Saloun, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a home run and an RBI. Freshman Jadin Justman put together a standout performance at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with a home run and an RBI. Freshman Gracie Peterson also helped out for Green Bay, putting together one hit in two trips to the plate while adding a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 3-0, the Phoenix first put runs on the board in the fifth inning. Justman put Green Bay on the board with a two-out solo home run off junior Lexi Lucas.
The Phoenix kept the deficit at 3-1 before closing the gap further in the seventh. Green Bay picked up a run on Saloun's one-out solo home run off of Lucas, which tightened the Jaguars lead to 3-2. The Phoenix were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.

Sophomore Brittany Baneck was dealing on in game two, tossing a three-hit shutout to lead the Green Bay Phoenix over the IUPUI Jaguars 3-0.
Baneck (10-4) went the distance for Green Bay (22-20), giving up three hits, walking three and striking out four.
Freshman Jadin Justman led the way offensively for the Phoenix, going 1-for-3 in the ballgame with a double and two RBIs. Sophomore Alyssa Brewer put together a standout day at the dish as well, going 1-for-2 with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Phoenix took the lead for good in the fifth, scoring for the first and only time in the inning. Green Bay scored three runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Justman.
