GREEN BAY --- The Green Bay men's soccer team earned a nice 1-1 draw with Northwestern at Aldo Santaga Stadium on Friday night, wrapping up preseason play in the process. GB will now turn its focus to the regular season, which kicks off on Thursday, August 26 against Marquette in Milwaukee. 

Northwestern got on the board first, but Green Bay's Abrahm Hill scored the equalizer in the first half. Neither team scored in the second frame and after 90 minutes finished, tied 1-1. Both sides took part in penalty kicks following the draw, with GB putting in five to the Wildcats' four. 

The 1-1 draw against a B10 side is an impressive effort for Green Bay heading into the 2021 season, which will look to get back to the Horizon League Tournament once again. The HL opener comes on September 11 against Cleveland State at 7 p.m. back at Aldo Santaga Stadium.
