MADISON, Wis. -- Green Bay scored two goals in the final three minutes of the match to take down Wisconsin 2-1 on Sunday night (Aug. 29) at Dan McClimon Memorial Track/Soccer Complex in Madison. The win moves Green Bay to 1-1-0 on the year, while also improving to 20-19-1 against the Badgers in the all-time series. It was the first meeting in the regular season since 2016.
How it Happened
Wisconsin opened the scoring when Inaki Iribarren scored in the 46th minute, assisted by Aron Saevarrson and Zach Klancnik.
The Phoenix levelled the game on a goal from Ruben Linden -- his first goal of the season -- in the 87th minute.
Green Bay then went up 2-1 on Bernand Assibey Rhule's 88th-minute goal, his first of the season. The 2-1 score held to the finish with the two goals coming just 93 seconds apart.
