Women's Basketball Welcomes Patrick Bowlin as Director of Operations

GREEN BAY --- Head women's basketball coach Kevin Borseth has announced the hiring of Patrick Bowlin, who has over 10 years of coaching experience, as the next Director of Basketball Operations for the program. Bowlin joins the Phoenix immediately and will assist the program with all of the day to day operations.

"I'm honored and grateful for the opportunity to join the women's basketball staff," Bowlin said. "I've followed the program closely for years and have developed great respect for Coach Borseth, Coach Bronk, and Coach Vogel and the high level of excellence that is consistently achieved year after year. I'm excited to work closely with our staff, student-athletes, athletic department, and community to help contribute to the great tradition of Green Bay women's basketball."

Bowlin's role with the team will relate to player management, program operations and assisting in the setup of on-campus recruiting and coordinating official and unofficial visits for potential recruits. He will also assist in all team travel operations, equipment ordering and working with the student-athletes on their professional development.

"Patrick is a very hard worker and his experience in college athletics will be an extreme asset to our program," Borseth said. "We are excited about Patrick joining our staff and look forward to his contributions to the team."

Bowlin, a native of Winona, Minn., spent the last four years as a head coach for girls basketball at the high school level, spending time at Rogers High School (Rogers, MN) and Totino-Grace High School (Fridley, MN). Bowlin has also coached at UW-Green Bay in the past, spending time with the volleyball program as an assistant in 2013-14. He spent time at St. Thomas as an assistant volleyball coach from 2016-19. Bowlin also spent time as the head softball coach at Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, MN), where he led the team to a MSHSL Section Championship in 2021.

Bowlin, a graduate of St. John's in 2012, replaces Nellie Schafer, who accepted a similar position at the University of Oregon as the Director of Operations for both women's volleyball and women's lacrosse.
