INDIANAPOLIS – The Horizon League announced the 2021-22 women's basketball conference schedule on Thursday, which includes an early start on Nov. 18 and 20, where GB will play at home. With 12 teams now in the League, each team will play 22 league contests, the most ever in the history of the conference, facing every team home and away.
Green Bay will host Northern Kentucky (11/18) and Wright State (11/20) to begin league play before Thanksgiving, will step out of conference for the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas, before returning to HL play on the road at Robert Morris (12/2) and Youngstown State (12/4). Following a trio of nonconference games before Christmas, GB will then host Detroit Mercy (12/30) and Oakland (1/1) around the New Year holiday.
The Phoenix visits IUPUI and UIC next, before hosting Cleveland State and Purdue Fort Wayne on January 14 and 16. GB caps a three-game homestand against Milwaukee on January 21, and quickly turns around to play at Milwaukee just two days later on Sunday, January 23. GB alternates road and home weekends to close out the year, which finishes at Purdue Fort Wayne and Cleveland State.
All told, Green Bay will play 16 home games, with 11 coming in HL play and two in exhibition action. A full promotional schedule will be announced soon.

HORIZON LEAGUE SCHEDULE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Horizon League announced its upcoming 2021-22 women's basketball League schedule on Wednesday. The conference slate begins on Nov. 18 and concludes with the Horizon League Basketball Championship March 7-8 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. Each team will play a 22-game double round-robin schedule.
The League schedule gets underway on Nov. 18 and 20 before resuming Dec. 2 through 5 then continuing for nine-straight weeks starting on Dec. 30 until concluding on Feb. 26. All 12 teams will be in action on opening day with 2021 tournament and co-regular season champions Wright State opening on the road at fellow co-regular season champion Milwaukee. Other opening night action includes Cleveland State hosting IUPUI, Northern Kentucky traveling to Green Bay, Oakland welcoming Youngstown State, RMU visiting Detroit Mercy and Purdue Fort Wayne battling UIC in Indiana.
All eligible teams will compete in this year's Horizon League Basketball Championships and eight teams – four men and four women – will look to advance to Indianapolis and #ReachTheHorizon March 7-8 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.
The opening rounds of the Horizon League Basketball Championships will once again start on campus with early round matchups set for March 1 and 3. The top-four teams in the regular season will earn a bye to the quarterfinals and a home game on Thursday, March 3 with the winners advancing to the semifinals on March 7 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The first round will feature the teams placing fifth through 12th competing on campus at the highest-available seeds on Tuesday, March 1.
Continuing a partnership that began during the 2014-15 season, ESPN+ and ESPN3 will be the home for the League's live streaming game content.
