The Phoenix has won three straight against the Leathernecks and seven of the last eight, outscoring WIU 17-8 in that period. Meanwhile, GB is 17-28-5 against their in-state rivals from Milwaukee. The Panthers have won four of the last six. Green Bay is 7-11-3 at Aldo Santaga Stadium when facing UWM.

HORIZON LEAGUE STANDINGS

ABOUT THE LEATHERNECKS
Dr. Eric Johnson, the long-time head coach of the Leathernecks, is in his 26th season with WIU. Johnson is the all-time winningest men's soccer coach in Summit League history. However, Western Illinois is off to a challenging 0-5-4 start this season.

Xavier Brown can give the Leathernecks a spark, leading the team with two goals. Despite the team not scoring much (averaging 0.67 GPG), five different WIU players have found the back of the net, proving they can spread the offense around. Alex Flowers has helped guide the WIU defense, recording 38 saves while allowing just 12 goals after facing 135 shots. Flowers has also recorded a shutout.

ABOUT THE PANTHERS
Kris Kelderman is in his 11th campaign with Milwaukee, boasting a winning record of 89-76-29. MKE is 1-6-4 to start 2022 but can't be taken lightly because of the threat their offense brings.

Logan Farrington and Emil Lindgren Pedersen have scored nine of Milwaukee's 15 goals. Farrington has put five in goal, while Lindgren Pedersen has totaled four. Farrington is the only Panther to reach double-digit points (12).

TOUGH TOBIAS
Starting goalkeeper Tobias Jahn has been dominant for the Phoenix. He has faced 70 shots, notching 32 saves while surrendering just eight goals, the fewest in the Horizon League. Jahn has pitched three shutouts, tied for second in the HL, and has recorded an 80-percent save percentage, the best in the HL. Through nine games, Green Bay is the only HL team to have a GAA (goals against average) under 1.00 (.89). On Monday, the Horizon League tabbed Jahn Defensive Player of the Week. He is the third GB player to garner the accolade.

ALL RISE FOR ANDREW

Sophomore Andrew Paolucci is making his presence known this season. The Ontario, Canada, native has a team-leading three goals, including one last Saturday at Northern Kentucky. He scored his first career goal in the regular season opener against Eastern Illinois on August 25. Paolucci also leads the Phoenix in points (7) and is one of four GB players to notch a go-ahead goal.

ON THE HORIZON
After Tuesday's game at Western Illinois, the Phoenix will play six consecutive Horizon League games to end the regular season. Currently, the Phoenix sits in fifth place in conference standings, just behind Robert Morris and Oakland. The six-game stretch begins Saturday when GB hosts in-state rival Milwaukee in a late-afternoon match. Saturday's contest is also Alumni Day and the annual Soctoberfest game, presented by University Heights.
