Green Bay has dominated the all-time series, winning nine of 10 matchups against the Huskies in regular season play. The Phoenix has hosted eight of the 10, which includes an 8-0 home record versus Michigan Tech. GB's margin of victory at home against MTU is +13.75. The only loss against Michigan Tech was on the road in 1972.

ABOUT THE HUSKIES
Josh Buettner enters his second season at the helm of the Michigan Tech program. The Huskies went 21-7 in 2021, and won the GLIAC North division. Michigan Tech will turn to a sophomore in Adam Hobson, a guard who was second on the team last season in points per game (12.4). Two of the Huskies' top three scorers from last season (Owen White and Trent Bell) graduated.

It'll be a homecoming for a group of Huskies. Four Michigan Tech players (Marcus Tomashek, Eric Carl, Logan Geissler, and Dawson Nordgaard) played high school basketball in the Green Bay area. Tomashek graduated from Ashwaubenon High School, Geissler from Bay Port, and Nordgaard, son of Green Bay men's basketball legend Jeff Nordgaard, received his high school diploma from West De Pere High School. Carl is a graduate of Kaukauna High School.

KEEPING IT LOCAL
Head coach Will Ryan has amassed a total of eight players on the 2022-23 roster that are from Wisconsin. Ryan's 2021-22 squad also featured eight players from in-state, which was the highest total of in-state players since the 2009-10 season when there were seven players as such under Tod Kowalczyk.

NO 'SHORT'AGE OF TALENT
Until this past offseason, Donavan Short was the highest-ranked in-state recruit in program history, rated as the number nine player in his class in Wisconsin. While at Denmark High School, he averaged 21.7 points per game as a junior before improving to 23.0 ppg as a senior. Short was also named the Wissports.net Player of the Week on December 8, 2019.

A DOSE OF DAILEY

He was named Associated Press All-State and was a three-time All-Conference honoree. Dailey averaged 23.8 PPG during his junior season and 22.8 his senior year.
