STANFORD, Calif. --The Green Bay men's basketball team struggled at Stanford Friday night, falling to the Cardinal 85-40.

The Phoenix (2-10) had two players score in double figures, with Cade Meyer and Randy Tucker each scoring 10 points. Tucker led the Phoenix with seven rebounds and Meyer also pulled down six.

Green Bay was never able to get the offense going, finishing the game 13-for-49 (26.5-percent) from the floor and 4-for-21 (19.0-percent) from three. The Cardinal was the opposite, finishing 33-for-61 (54.1-percent) from the floor and 9-for-24 (37.5-percent) from deep.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Stanford took control of the game from the jump, outscoring GB 19-3 in the game's first eight-and-a-half minutes. The Cardinal held serve the remainder of the half and extended the lead to 42-19 going into halftime.

Green Bay could not pull any closer in the second half, losing by a final of 85-40.

COMING UP
The Phoenix will wrap up its west coast road trip and non-conference schedule on Sunday when they take on Oregon State at 2 p.m. Following, GB will revisit Horizon League play at Detroit Mercy on December 29.
