GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay softball team's offense never got going Saturday afternoon, putting across one run on two hits off of Northern Kentucky's Madisyn Eads. Eads went all seven innings for the Norse, grabbing her fifth win on the season. Senior Samantha Saloun led the offense for the Phoenix, going 1-for-1 with two walks in the 6-1 loss.
Senior Brittany Baneck (2-7) got the ball to start for Green Bay (7-12, 0-1) and took the loss. Sophomore Abby Freismuth was a bright spot for the Phoenix, coming out of the bullpen and throwing three innings, giving up one run on one hit, with three walks and two strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED

The Phoenix was unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
