Green Bay Men's Basketball Adds Brock Heffner and Davin Zeigler

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Monday afternoon the Green Bay men's basketball program and head coach Will Ryan announced two new additions to the 2022-23 roster, Brock Heffner and Davin Zeigler.

BROCK HEFFNER | FORWARD | 6'8 | R-FR. | HAWAI'I | GRAFTON HIGH SCHOOL | GRAFTON, WIS.
"We welcome Brock back home and into our program," Ryan said. "He will help provide a high level of toughness and skill to our front court. Although he redshirted at Hawaii, he spent the year improving by competing against and with quality DI teammates. As a staff, we were impressed when we evaluated him two years ago playing alongside Cade Meyer at the grassroots level. We are excited about Brock's versatility with his ability to play inside/out as well as his overall skill set and basketball IQ. Brock can shoot, pass and handle the ball really well for his size. He's a good athlete with plenty of length to get deflections and also alter or block shots on defense. We feel that Brock's tenacity and physicality will help energize our program day in and day out."

Heffner, a 2021 graduate of Grafton High School, comes to Green Bay after a year at the University of Hawaii. As a junior at Grafton, he averaged 17.1 points per contest and grabbed 7.1 rebounds per game. He shot 58.9-percent from the floor and 44.8-percent from deep. During his senior campaign, he averaged 21.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. Heffner also scored 20 or more points in 14 of 23 games during his senior season.

Prep Accolades:
  • Four-year letterwinner
  • Two-time All-Conference pick
  • Named North Shore Conference's First Team as a senior
  • Played football for three seasons
DAVIN ZEIGLER | GUARD | 6'3 | JR. | INDIAN HILLS COMMUNITY COLLEGE | BENEDICTINE HIGH SCHOOL | CLEVELAND, OHIO
"We are really excited to add Davin to our program," Ryan continued. "He brings prior Division I experience with him as well as most recently playing for perennial D1 junior college winner, Indian Hills. Davin is an extremely athletic combo guard who can score at all three levels. He has the unique ability to change speeds with exceptional body control which he uses to score or set teammates up. We're also counting on him to help us improve our three point shooting as he shot 40% from three this past season. Defensively, Davin is a tough-nosed competitor who uses his quickness and instinctiveness to disrupt both on and off the ball. We expect Davin to give us a big boost, depth and experience to our backcourt."

Zeigler, a Cleveland, Ohio native, spent his freshman and sophomore campaigns with Bowling Green. In two seasons with the Falcons, he averaged 2.3 points per contest while playing under 11 minutes per game. After the 2020-21 season concluded, he transferred to Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. In 33 games played, Zeigler averaged 7.7 points per game. He shot well, hitting his attempts from the field at a 46.4-percent clip and 40.0-percent from beyond the arc. His father, Derrick Zeigler, played college basketball at Horizon League foe Cleveland State.
