GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay men's soccer team and Chicago State finished in a 0-0 draw Sunday afternoon at Aldo Santaga Stadium. The Phoenix remain unbeaten after two games, going to 1-0-1 overall, while the Cougars moved to 0-0-2 on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Sunday's contest was nearly as even as they come, with both teams taking nine shots.Green Bay edged out the Cougars with two shots on goal to their one. The best chance of the game came in the 83rd minute when Josh Johansen found Michael McDougall at the top of the Chicago State box. McDougall attempted to beat the keeper with a near post finish, but pulled it wide.
GAME NOTES
- Green Bay and Chicago State each received two yellow cards. Kolton Prater and Ruben Linden were both booked for GB.
- Tobias Jahn collected one save for the Phoenix out of nine total Cougars' shots.
UP NEXT
The Phoenix will travel to Indiana for their first away game of the 2022 season on Thursday, taking on Southern Indiana at noon.
