Wright State Spoils Green Bay's Horizon League Home Opener

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay men's soccer team fell 3-1 to Wright State Saturday afternoon at Aldo Santaga Stadium.

With the loss, GB dropped to 3-2-1 overall and 0-1-0 in Horizon action. It was the first win of the season for the Raiders, as they improved to 1-3-3 overall and 1-0-1 in HL action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Wright State took a 1-0 lead when Nicolas Likulia scored in the 13th minute, assisted by Kobe Perlaza and Reece Allbaugh. The Raiders tacked on another on a goal from Joe Kouadio in the 25th minute.

The visitors didn't score again in the first, but added another in the 62nd minute from Conner Osterholt.

The Phoenix cut into the Raiders' lead and made it a 3-1 game with an 86th-minute goal from Kajus Kontautas, his first goal of the season, assisted by Andrew Paolucci

GAME NOTES
>>Green Bay received two yellow cards. The Raiders were also booked twice.
>>The Phoenix had 10 shots on goal compared to WSU's six.
>>Sebastian Jimenez tallied nine saves for the Raiders.
>>Keegan Walker paced the Phoenix with four shots, all on goal.

UP NEXT
Green Bay will have one more non-conference tune-up when they visit St. Thomas on Wednesday, September 31. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
