GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay Women's Soccer team and The Oakland Golden Grizzles finished in a 0-0 tie Sunday afternoon at Aldo Santaga Stadium.
The Phoenix moved to 2-3-2 overall and 0-0-2 in Horizon action following the tie. GB has two points after two games of HL action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Oakland put pressure on the Phoenix defense in the first half, resulting in a penalty kick awarded to the Golden Grizzlies in the 14th minute. GB goalkeeper Annie Mason came up huge, however, saving the penalty and keeping the game scoreless. Oakland had 10 shots in the first half compared to Green Bay's four.
The game was more back-and-forth in half number two, with the Phoenix pushing for a late winner in the final 15 minutes. Nothing came of the chances, however, and the game ended 0-0.
Green Bay registered five shots in the scoreless tie, one of them on goal. The Phoenix faced 16 Oakland shots, three of them on goal with Mason saving all three.

Green Bay will travel to Dayton, Ohio to continue HL play against Wright State on Thursday. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.
