Green Bay is 11-12-8 against Detroit Mercy. The last matchup was on September 29, 2021, a 1-1 tie versus the Titans. Meanwhile, the Phoenix and Norse last battled on October 2, 2021, at Aldo Santaga Stadium. GB lost 2-0 and has a 4-4 record against NKU.

ABOUT THE TITANS
Head coach Nicholas Deren is in his 13th season with Detroit Mercy. The Titans are looking to gain some ground in the Horizon League with just a 1-3-3 through the team's first seven games.

Samory Powder and Rocco Galati are the sparks that can help the Titans gain ground, with the veterans leading DMU with two goals each. Six different players have recorded a goal for the Titans. While Detroit Mercy has given up two goals per game (14 total), five were surrendered against UNC-Charlotte, the 12th-ranked team in the nation.

ABOUT THE NORSE
Tom Poitras has begun a new era at Northern Kentucky, beginning his first season at the helm of the NKU program. The Norse have been a balanced team through nine games, displaying a 3-5-1 record. NKU averages shy of two goals scored per game while surrendering under 1.5 goals per contest.

The Norse have a ferocious attack on offense, with 10 different players scoring at least one goal. Seven Norse have tallied two goals, including Sam Robinson, Hunter Sekelsky, Deryn Armstrong, Ben Hegge, Brodie Sallows, Craig Wellens, and Simon Knuewe. Four of those players (Robinson, Armstrong, Sallows, and Hegge) have reached double-digits in shots.

DEMOLITION DEFENSE
The Green Bay defense has been stellar this season, helping keep the Phoenix in every game. GB's defense allows eight shots per game while surrendering just one goal on average. Hesron Barry is part of the defensive line that has held opponents in check while providing attacking prowess, leading all GB defenders with three shots.

OPENING THE SCORING
Michael McDougall scored his first career goal on September 21 against St. Thomas. The senior forward is one of six GB players to notch a goal. McDougall has recorded 344 minutes across all seven games this season. He's third on the team in shots (11), points (3), shots (11), and shots on goal (6). He has tallied one shot in all but one game this season.

ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF
The Phoenix got younger this last offseason, with head coach Jeremy Bonomo bringing in 20 recruits. In total, there are 14 true freshmen on the squad. Chris Album, a newcomer, has been stellar for GB through the team's first seven contests. He is tied with Andrew Paolucci for most goals scored (2) and is second in points (4) while pacing the team with 14 shots.
