Marquette has the upper hand in the all-time series against Green Bay, boasting a 17-3-0 record. The Phoenix is looking to get back in the win column after a 3-0 loss to Wisconsin last Sunday and could also break a streak of 14 consecutive losses to the Golden Eagles. GB and Marquette last met on September 10, 2009, when the Golden Eagles shut out GB 3-0.

ABOUT MARQUETTE
Frank Pelaez is in his fourth season at the helm of the Golden Eagles program. Marquette will look to get back to .500 on the season after dropping two of the first three contests of 2022, including against cross-town rival Milwaukee.

However, Isabella Cook and Elizabeth Bueckers can ignite the Golden Eagle offense anytime. Cook has found the net once and leads the team with two points. Bueckers has been a spark off the bench, recording 171 minutes while leading the team with four shots, all on goal.

THE BEST OFFENSE IS DEFENSE
Green Bay's first three games of 2022 have been shutouts one way or the other. It is the fourth time since 2010 that GB's first three games have included a shutout. The Phoenix began 2022 by blanking Chicago State 3-0, shutting out Western Illinois 2-0, and getting shut out by Wisconsin 3-0. The other three years it happened were 2019, 2017, and 2010.

RECORD SCRATCH
Goalkeeper Annie Mason has been stellar since coming to Green Bay last season. With the 3-0 shutout of Western Illinois on August 25, Mason tied Nastacia Behle (2012-15) and Brooke Wikgren (2004-07) for third all-time in GB history. Mason's next clean sheet would put her alone in third. Barb Singer holds the most career shutouts in GB history with 17.

NEW PHOENIX FACES
GB announced on May 26 the addition of 13 newcomers to the 2022 roster, which includes 12 freshmen and one junior. Katelyn Fishnick, Zoey Pagels, and Sierra Morgano, three of the freshmen, highlight the 2022 recruiting class. Fishnick was a WSCA First Team All-State member, Pagels was the WSCA player of the year in 2022, and Morgano became a US Youth Soccer National Champion in 2022. Pagels has scored two of Green Bay's five goals this season.
