GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay volleyball team started their weekend at home with a 3-1 win over Robert Morris (21-25, 25-19, 27-25, 25-10) at the Kress Center.
The Phoenix was led by a big time double-double from Hannah Vanden Berg, who registered 16 kills and 13 digs on the day. Cora Behnke also added 13 kills to aid the offense. On the defensive end, Abby Gardner chipped in for with 19 digs to go with five blocks from Tiffany Paalman.
Robert Morris was led by 12 kills by Hillarie Adams and nine more from Rosina Esposito.
HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 | The Phoenix fell behind early, dropping the first set. Robert Morris grabbed control of the set when it was tied 10-10 with a 5-0 run to grab a 15-10 lead. That lead held the remainder of the way, with the Colonials taking it 25-21.
SET 2 | Green Bay evened the match at 1-1 with a decisive 25-19 victory in set two. The Phoenix scored first and never trailed in the set to secure the victory. Green Bay opened up as much as a nine point lead at 19-10. The Phoenix hit .333 over the course of the set. Green Bay's front row also had a solid defensive performance, blocking four Robert Morris attacks in the stanza and capitalizing on 11 Robert Morris attacking errors.
SET 3 | Green Bay built on that second set success with another victory in set number three to open up a lead at two sets to one. The Phoenix came out on top of a tight battle, winning 27-25 in a set that was tied 15 times and had six lead changes. The Phoenix racked up 18 kills over the course of the set.
SET 4 | Green Bay closed out the match with a dominant 25-10 fourth-set victory. The Phoenix took control of the set at 3-2 and held the lead the rest of the way. Green Bay controlled the set after an 11-0 run thanks to Emma Johnson's serving.

The Phoenix will look to grab another win tomorrow when they host Youngstown State for the Dig Pink Game at 4 p.m. Green Bay will also host Milwaukee on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
