MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Green Bay men's hit the road Thursday night but fell 71-56 to the Robert Morris Colonials. RMU used a 41-27 second half to pull away from the Phoenix.
The Phoenix (3-25, 2-15) had two players score in double figures, led by Clarence Cummings III, who had 12 points, all in the second half. The bench was productive, with Davin Zeigler adding 10 points and two steals and Brock Heffner adding seven points and two steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Colonials got off to a hot start and built a 17-9 lead in the game's first nine minutes. Green Bay responded however and went on a 10-3 run capped off by a Brock Heffner made free throw with 4:44 to go in the half. GB tied the game multiple times in the last five minutes of the first half but eventually went into the break down 30-29.
The Phoenix grabbed its first lead of the game after a Ryan Wade three pointer and layup from Cummings gave them a 34-30 lead. RMU would respond, rattling off a 17-6 run in the next six minutes to grab a 47-40 lead with just over 11 minutes. The Colonials saw their lead balloon to 17 before GB made it an eight-point game at 2:02 thanks to seven straight points from Cummings. That was as close as Green Bay would get, as the Colonials closed the game on a 7-0 run and took the contest 71-56.

» Green Bay was led on the boards by Cummings and Cade Meyer, who each hauled in five rebounds.
» RMU dominated in the paint, outscoring the Phoenix 34-18.

GB will finish the regular season road slate Saturday when they travel to Youngstown, Ohio to take on the league-leading Youngstown State Penguins.
