INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Green Bay swimming and diving team finished on a high note on the final day of the 2023 Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships.
WOMEN
Grace Morgan started the day for the Phoenix with a 12th-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:40.09.
In the 200-yard backstroke, Esther Oswald came in strong, finishing seventh with a time of 2:06.79.
McKenna Metropulos stayed consistent in the 100-yard freestyle, posting an 11th-place completion with a score of 52.45.
Ella Anderson and Carly Zaprzal finished 14th and 15th, respectively, in the 200-yard breaststroke. Anderson notched a time of 2:25.82, while Zaprzal had a time of 2:30.08.
Alex Kelly completed the 200-yard butterfly 13th overall with a time of 2:08.62.
Caitlyn Greenwalt completed the three-meter diving competition with a score of 211.30.
Kaleigh Gale led Green Bay in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:35.74. GB finished sixth overall.
MEN
Calvin Kremer led Green Bay in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:51.38. Teammate Eli Zimmerman was right behind him, posting a 13th-place completion with a time of 1:52.23. Nathan Halbach rounded out the competition in 16th place.
Rafe Dolan Peterson was a top-10 finisher in the 100-yard freestyle. His time of 44.52 earned him a ninth-place completion. Max Kasal, who broke Green Bay's freshman record in the 200-yard freestyle yesterday, was 11th with a time of 44.86.
Sebby Smolecki showed out in the 200-yard breaststroke, completing the event in fourth place with a time of 1:58.66. His brother Alex finished in ninth place with a time of 2:02.18.
Kasal paced the Phoenix in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:59.46. The Phoenix finished fourth overall.
UP NEXT
The NCAA Zone D Diving Championships is on the docket for Green Bay, which will take place from March 7 to March 9 in Minneapolis.
