INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Green Bay swimming and diving teams concluded the Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday evening.
Esther Oswald began the evening with a seventh-place finish in the 200 backstroke, getting Green Bay 12 points. Moving to the 100 freestyle, Emily Allen placed seventh with a time of 51.23, with the event winner finishing just over a second ahead of her. In the men's 100 free, Max Kasal completed the event in 43.78 seconds. His time was three-tenths of a second behind Oakland's Charlie Brown, who placed first. Kasal came from behind Saturday morning to boast the best time in the preliminary session. Later in the evening, Sebby Smolecki touched the wall at 2:00.40 in the 200 breaststroke, best for seventh place.
"I'm very proud of our team and what they accomplished at this meet", said Head Coach Alex Lewis. "Our team fought for second swims and showed tremendous improvement!".
